Intro To SpiderWire Stealth Braid
Whatever the water conditions happen to be in your neck of the woods, there’s a good chance SpiderWire Stealth has the color pattern to fit. Anglers go to Stealth for the choices in color but also for its smooth profile. It’s a perfect braided fishing line for casting and staying unnoticed.
Using a 4 carrier Dyneema weave on tests of 6 through 20 Lbs and 8 strands on 30 Lbs or higher, anglers will see a difference. An 8 strand braid has a natural round pattern while 4 strands have rougher edges. Anglers also prefer SpiderWire Stealth as it resists the tendency to dig in the spool.

Filler spools fill up the majority and lengths are good to wrap one reel. Economy spools come in the higher tests and provide enough line for more than one reel. Bulk spools give plenty of braided line for several reels. Check the available tests and lengths below:

SpiderWire Stealth Green Camo Spools
In green or murky water conditions, SpiderWire Stealth Camo Braid is virtually undetectable. This braided line has all the features of SpiderWire Stealth. Using a strand variation of tan, green, and brown gives it a forest camouflage appearance. Spools of Stealth Camo Braid come in the following tests and lengths:

Spools Of SpiderWire Stealth Translucent Braid
SpiderWire uses natural white Dyneema fibers and adds a clear coating to produce their Stealth Translucent Braid. Benefits of this braid are twofold. Its white fiber is easily visible to anglers, which in turn simplifies your knot tying. When Stealth Translucent Braid enters the water, the clear coating erases any sign of the white fiber. Spools Of SpiderWire Stealth Pink Camo
Like the Blue and Green Camo, Stealth Pink Camo offers anglers a situational advantage. Instead of aiming to hide the braid, however, Pink Camo seeks absolute visibility. Its purpose is to allow anglers to see it, even in murky water. SpiderWire Stealth Pink Camo gets its color by using alternating black, white, and pink strands. See the availability of spool tests and lengths below:

Spools Of SpiderWire Stealth Glow-Vis Braid
When visibility is low above water, anglers still need to see where they’re casting. But they don’t necessarily want the braid to show once it submerges. SpiderWire Stealth Glow-Vis provides the qualities to defeat just these types of encounters. Its green color all but disappears underwater. Above water, the braid shines as it reflects ultra-violet light. View the available spool tests and lengths below:

Key Features Of SpiderWire Stealth
A Color & Pattern For All Water Conditions
When you need to see your line as far down into the water column as possible, there’s SpiderWire Hi-Vis Yellow or Pink Camo. If you want your line to disappear, you have choices for different water conditions. SpiderWire Stealth Blue Camo vanishes in open ocean water while Moss Green hides in lakes and reservoirs. Glow-Vis and Translucent options aid the angler’s vision above water while masking the submerged braid. SpiderWire Stealth truly does offer a braid for everywhere.
4 Or 8 Strand Dyneema Braid
SpiderWire uses Dyneema fibers in the construction of their braided Stealth Superlines. Known for its use in bulletproof vests, many braid manufacturers choose the strength of Dyneema. On the braiding machine, each carrier has a spool of Dyneema fiber strand.
The weaving process joins either 4 or 8 strands around a solid core. As mentioned earlier, SpiderWire Stealth uses a 4-strand (or carrier) weave on tests from 6 to 20 pounds. Tests of 30 pounds and higher switch to an 8 carrier weave.
Fluoropolymer Treatment Process & Color Lock
During the production process, SpiderWire treats each spool of Dyneema with a proprietary fluoropolymer coating. As a result, Stealth Superline comes out sleek and smooth to the touch. The treatment adds an extra layer of protection against abrasion and gives it that silent quality. SpiderWire Stealth uses a color lock technology which is enhanced due to the fluoropolymer coating.
Smooth, Silent, And Abrasion Resistant
Though 4-carrier braided lines are naturally rougher than 8, the fluoropolymer coating smooths edges out. Only the thinner tests use 4-strands, which are enough to handle fish in those weight classes. Whichever tests you choose, SpiderWire Stealth casts as quiet as a stalking cat. Long lasting durability is another result of the coating process, which helps reduce abrasion over time.
Resists Line Digging
If you pull hard enough on a fixed spool of braided line, it will split hairs and dig into itself. This is an issue with all braids, but more so with some than others. SpiderWire Stealth fills the reel spool evenly with pressure. Keep the line tight without exerting too much stress on the retrieve and it won’t dig in. Provided you don’t have a loose spool and tight drag, fish won’t cause digging either.
Ungiving Strength & Sensitivity
Dyneema is ungiving material because it doesn’t stretch like monofilament. Even with many yards of line out, SpiderWire Stealth stays rigid. Its sensitivity is so much that anglers relearn their drags. If you’re set too tight, a strong bite can pull the hook right through. The great benefit of braided line is the ability to feel even the smallest nibbles.

Pros & Cons Of SpiderWire Stealth Superline
Pros
SpiderWire Stealth offers color patterns that other manufacturers do not. That goes a long way when blending into your environment is imperative. Silent casting that comes along with the fluoropolymer treatment is another bonus. It pays dividends by increasing durability and reducing wear on your components. Finally, SpiderWire Stealth Superlines offer a nice range of different spool tests and lengths.
Cons
Going by the enormous amount of customer reviews, the number one complaint has to do with production. There are more reports of faulty spools than you would like to see. Other anglers like KastKing SuperPower Braid just as much and prefer its lower cost.
It’s also worth mentioning the fluoropolymer treatment on SpiderWire Stealth Superlines. There’s no denying it enhances the performance of the braid, but the fluoro and color will fade in time. SiderWire uses a coating, which is different than the Enhanced Body Technology of Power Pro Braids.
Best Situations/Uses
SpiderWire Stealth offers all the typical advantages anglers expect out of a braided fishing line. It’s much thinner than mono or fluorocarbon. This translates to more line on the spool of your fishing reel. That’s a very helpful quality in open water when wide shouldered fish are going to run. The sensitive nature of the line helps clue anglers to action at great depths.
Braid can also cut through fronds, kelp, or lily pads where other lines will break. That’s a helpful quality if you don’t want to lose a Coltsniper Lure or Tady Iron. Last but not least, anglers can choose the color most suited to their fishing conditions. And there are plenty of options if you need to switch.
